Mark Anthony Smith has devoted his pastorate to serving the people. As SeniorPastor of Sanctuary Church, he has implemented innovative solutions, promoting callabration and cohesiveness while mainting a humble spirit.

Born in Hartford, CT to the Rev. Herbert and Sis. Doris Smith he transitioned to Cleveland in 1980. He is married to First Lady (Princess) smith. The brother of three siblings, the father of one son, five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from

Cleveland State University and also attended Trinity Seminary with courses in Theology. Pastor Smith is currently employed at The United Parcel Services (UPS) as a manager in sales.

​

He answered his life long call to the ministry in 1996. In 2000, he was elected as the Co-Pastor of the Sanctuary Baptist Church and 2005 became the Senior Pastor. He has proven to be an inspirational leader for both the church and the community. He is an active member of the Baptist Pastors Council, Pastor in Mission and the Ministers Alliance of Cleveland, Ohio.

His life exemplifies the fact that "God Has A Blessings With Your Name On It" He has made himself available and God has made hiQualified as Pastor and Community Leader.
